WCMS Warriors prove they have the right stuff

Posted

White County Middle School Warrior baseball team had a great outing, on April 8, 2024, when they hosted Prescott South. The Warriors put eight runs on the board while shutting out the Bulldogs.

Brennan Burchett was the winning pitcher as he pitched four and two-thirds inning, giving up no hits and no runs. Burchett struck out eight batters while walking four, but the Warrior defense did their job and kept the Bulldogs from rounding the bases. The Warrior defense, led by Henry Usry who had 10 defensive plays in the game, was perfect, committing no errors.

On offense, Burchett went 2 for 3 while driving in two runs. Griffin Adams also collected two hits, and the combination of Burchett and Adams in the middle of the lineup proved to be more than Prescott South could handle.

The WCMS Warriors take the field again, on April 12, when they play Tullahoma West Middle School.
