The White County High School cross country team competed in a jamboree, on Aug. 15, 2024, in Cookeville. Head coach Nathan Aaron said he was pleased with the performances at the pre-season practice race.

“I was pleased with the effort of our runners. For some of them, it was their first time running a 5K,” Aaron said, noting the weather was not ideal, especially in the girls’ race, as it was hot and humid. “The goal of this first practice race is to set a benchmark that they can improve upon as the season progresses. Running is not an easy sport so anytime you complete a race, it’s an accomplishment.”
