Tyler's Twelve - Week Five College Football

Posted
  1. Georgia (5-0)

The Bulldogs remain number one in my top twelve after defeating the Vanderbilt Commodores in Athens. Their offense was led by star quarterback Gunner Stockton, who threw for 295 yards and 3 touchdowns. The defensive secondary let up a big play before halftime, resulting in a touchdown for Vandy. They’ll need to get that fixed before taking on Alabama in Tuscaloosa.

  1. Texas (4-0)

The Longhorns will be at number two. Their defense is very elite, highlighted by pass-rusher Colin Simmons. They go on the road this week to play in the Red River Rivalry.

  1. Miami FL (5-0)

The Canes continue to look really strong on offense, defeating the Clemson Tigers 41-13 as quarterback Darian Mensah completed 18/27 passes for 227 yards and 1 touchdown through the air.

  1. Alabama (5-0)

The Crimson Tide went on the road to Starkville and defeated Mississippi State 56-23. The offense and defense started and finished the game strong. The Tide have a big game against Georgia. They need to start as they did against the Bulldogs in order to get a huge win at home.

  1. Notre Dame ( 5-0)

The Fighting Irish continue to grow their offense into something special. They defeated North Carolina 37-26 on the road as quarterback CJ Carr had five total touchdowns.

  1. Ohio State (4-1)

The Buckeyes and Jeremiah Smith found the end zone many times against the Iowa Hawkeyes, resulting in the score being 31-14. Smith broke the all-time record in career receiving touchdowns; he passed Chris Olave’s thirty-five and continues to add more as the season goes on.

  1. Indiana (5-0)

The Hoosiers, led by quarterback Josh Hoover, remain unbeaten. They play the Nebraska Cornhuskers next in Lincoln.

  1. LSU (4-1)

The Tigers have come to play the last few weeks, giving them some nice wins. They play the Kentucky Wildcats next in Lexington.

  1. Texas Tech (5-0)

The Red Raider defense continues to shine as they made big plays against Colorado, beating them 29-7.

  1. Ole Miss (3-1)

The Rebels look to bounce back after their loss to Florida in week four. They play Vanderbilt next in Nashville.

  1. Utah (4-0)

The Utes have been looking good, putting up good numbers. Their next game they will be taking on Kansas.

  1. Boise State (4-1)

The Broncos continue to impress because their offense has played well the last couple of weeks. They have a big conference matchup this week, playing Fresno State.
